Writing for Empathy Exhibit

Aug 8-31, 2017 / Sep 1-4, 2017 / All Day

Calendar: Exhibit

Exhibit showcasing various works from Hub City Writers Project's Writing for Empathy Summer Camp participants.

The Writing for Empathy Day Camp was a five-day intensive writing course for rising 10th graders to examine identity, civic responsibility and empathy towards the intersecting narratives shared by Spartanburg teens. Students dove deeper into writing through discussion, peer collaboration, wellness exercises, and tailored lesson plans to begin dialogue about owning their voice, sharing their stories, and discovering the similarities that exist among all people to build a broader, healthier community.
