Cat on a Hot Tin Roof Sizzles at The Spartanburg Little Theatre Experience the timeless passion of Tennessee Williams’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — While Spartanburg unfreezes from the record-breaking cold, The Spartanburg Little Theatre (SLT) is transporting its audiences to a steamy summer night in Mississippi, where the unspoken secrets of a Southern family dynasty are laid bare in a spellbinding tale of greed, passion, and mystery. Don’t miss Tennessee Williams’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, opening March 6 and running for six performances through March 15.
Although best known for the Academy Award-nominated 1958 film starring Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman, the play is a beloved stage classic.  Since 2000, it has been revived on Broadway four times, and its previous casts include stars like Kathleen Turner, Ashley Judd and Scarlett Johansson.
“The chance to stage one of our great American plays with such an amazing cast and artistic team is absolutely thrilling,” remarked guest director and USC Upstate theatre professor Lee Neibert. “Audiences will want to see this masterpiece by Tennessee Williams for its eloquence and the high stakes of the action.”
The SLT production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof features a cast of talented Upstate thespians led by Anna Elyse Lewis as Maggie the Cat, Joshua M. Wilson as her husband Brick, Daniel E. Harvey as his father Big Daddy and Susie Kocher as his mother Big Mama.
