The Chapman Cultural Center is operated by The Arts Partnership of Greater Spartanburg, which is a locally based non-profit agency with the mission to promote the cultural arts in Spartanburg and the surrounding communities. The majority of its financial support comes from donations by citizens, businesses and agencies that sustain the arts in this community. Other support comes from ticket sales and other income-generating sources. Not only does The Arts Partnership operate the Chapman Cultural Center, it raises funds and awareness for nine different “Partner organizations.”
Each of these Partners represents a different cultural discipline, such as dance, theatre, history, science, visual arts and music. Much of the money raised by The Arts Partnership is allotted to the Partners so they can provide cultural activities, such as concerts, plays, exhibits, and dances. The Spartanburg community has been very kind and generous to the Chapman Cultural Center with financial, moral and creative support. In return, we have provided a wide array of cultural activities.
