The following facilities are available for rent at the Chapman Cultural Center:

Theatre – David Reid Theatre with a seating capacity of 542, proscenium stage, dressing rooms, restrooms, lobby and common areas, available free parking.

Lobby/Plaza – Jennifer Evins Lobby with a standing capacity of 542 and the Zimmerli Plaza at the heart of all 3 buildings.

 Meeting Rooms - One of 2 rooms located in the Chapman Cultural Center: one in the West Wing - ground level and the other in the East Wing - upper level.  Rental includes restrooms, common areas, available free parking.

*For use of Kitchen Prep area, add $100.00 for use of the contracted area with space restored to its original condition.

 
Rate Definitions:


Full Day Rate - Use of the contracted area from 8:00AM to 11:59PM with space restored to its original configuration.

 
Non-Event Day Rate
– Use of the contracted area for load-in, tech, rehearsals, dark days (days where show is setup but no activity is scheduled)  This reduced rate is contingent upon the lobby, the area in front of the curtain, and the audience chamber being available to rent to others.

 
Part Day Rate
– Use of the contracted area for no more than five (5) consecutive hours, with space restored to its original configuration.  Any use of the contracted area over the five (5) hours will default to the Full Day Rate for that area.

 

Discount Rate – 10% off the applicable day rate for rentals of three (3) or more days.

 
3. Personnel Charges (All labor positions require a 4-hour minimum)

Uniformed Police Security (City)                                   $30.00/hr (required if alcoholic beverages will be served)

T-shirt Security+^                                                         $15.00/hr after 5 PM

Fire Security                                                                     $30.00/hr

 

+Required Staffing for theater events.

* Required Staffing for theater events when house production is used.

^ Required Staffing for Lobby events.

All labor for events on a National Holiday are charged double-time.

 

4. Ticket Office Charges

Ticketing Set-up:                                               $30.00 per performance                      

Ticket Print Charge:                                          $.25/ticket sold and .10/comp  

Extended Hours:                                               $15.00/hour per person

Credit Card Charges:                                         3.5% will be assessed on all credit card receipts

NOTE: A $2.00 consumer service charge is added to all tickets sold

The rental rates for the Chapman Cultural Center are based on all equipment on an "as-is-where-is" basis.

All changes, movement, or modifications will be at the expense of the Lessee.

 

6. Special Services     Equipment Rental: The Chapman Cultural Center is available to make arrangements for rental of additional production and backline gear, which might be required for the user's performance and are not listed herein. A service fee of 20% will be assessed for this service.
