Colors Inner-City Youth Art Studio, founded in 1993, is a program of the Spartanburg Art Museum. The studio’s mission is to improve the lives, choices and opportunities available to at-risk youth by providing safe and creative places to be during the critical after-school hours, thereby producing successful, productive members of our community. The program is income-based and students must meet the necessary income requirements. COLORS works with children ages 6-18 and has several outreach sites in Spartanburg County at various schools and community centers.

The studio is open Monday-Thursday from 3-6 p.m. Students can come into the studio on a drop-in basis. They paint, draw, work with clay using professional materials under the tutelage of local professional artists. COLORS serves hundreds of children every year.
